Material Processing
Construction and demolition debris account for as much as 45% of the material in today’s landfills. Finding ways to reduce this waste has many cost saving and environmental benefits: it avoids disposal costs; generates revenue from material sales; diverts waste from landfills; reuses valuable materials; reduces the environmental impact of producing new materials; and helps contractors and building owners comply with local and state regulations.
Boston Environmental’s parent company, J. Derenzo Company, operates a material processing facility at its Brockton yard. This facility can accept and process clean asphalt, brick and concrete materials for reuse. This facility provides a valuable service reusing what would otherwise be waste. This operation also provides materials for our site development services, again allowing us to offer cost savings to clients while operating under environmentally positive practices.
